Our programs

  • GP Access

The GP Access is a rehabilitation and recovery support service for people living with a mental illness who see a General Practitioner (GP) for their clinical needs.

We provide tailored, one-on-one psychosocial support to individuals within their own home and local community.

    Who can we help?

We can help you if you live in Adelaide’s Western or Southern suburbs and have a referral from a GP or a Government Mental Health Service worker.

Download a brochure here or discuss this referral form with your GP.

  • Individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation & Support Service (IPRSS)

IPRSS is a recovery oriented rehabilitation and support service for people living with a mental illness. It is provided one-on-one in a person’s home and local community.

Support is tailored to suit the individual and will increase or decrease in response to changing needs.

    Who can access IPRSS?

IPRSS is aimed at helping people accessing public mental health services who would like support to build the skills and confidence needed to live independently in the community.

In order to access this service a government mental health worker, together with the person, need to complete an application or referral form.

Once this has been approved by the IPRSS allocation’s team, the documents will be given to UnitingSA and a support worker will organise an introductory meeting with you.

To find out more, download our IPRSS Fact Sheet. To discuss a referral, please speak with your Government Mental Health Service worker.

  • Avalon Supported Accommodation

Avalon is aimed at supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to build the skills and confidence needed to live independently in the community.

To access the service the person needs to be supported by Southern Mental Health Services and be approved for Category One Housing by Housing SA.

To find out more, download our Avalon Fact Sheet. To discuss a referral, please get in touch with your SA Health Southern Mental Health Services worker or Avalon on (08) 8357 8969.
